I am delighted that you are interested in visiting Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School’s website and hope you find what you are looking for.
Our school is a Catholic school that sits on the southern side of the city. We attract children from Catholic families as well as from families who want their child to be educated within the framework of a Catholic school. In January 2022, we were delighted to open our own Nursery. This pre-school provision completes the Christian care and education we are able to offer. There are currently just over two hundred children on roll in the school and nineteen in the nursery. Our staff are all very committed to the Catholic ethos, which shows in their dedication and care for each child as a special gift from God to be cherished and nourished.
At Our Lady’s, we pride ourselves in holding high expectations for all children. We want to nurture them in the Christian values we hold dear which includes high achievement in all aspects of school life. We want them to enjoy a range of experiences in all other National Curriculum subjects, gaining relevant knowledge and skills to interest them and ensure they are ready for the next phase of their education. We want them to thrive in a positive environment that finds and focuses upon their individual strengths, whether that be sport, drama, technologies, music or any other subject.

The aim of Jesuit education is ‘improvement in living and learning for the greater glory of God and the common good’.
The Catholic Schools Pupil Profile is based on the Jesuit aim of education and is used as a framework to develop intellectually competent, good and virtuous young people through education. The Virtues are deeply rooted in the gospels of Jesus Christ and the spirt of St Ignatius Loyola (1491 - 1556), who was the founder of the Society of Jesus and Jesuit schools and who developed a pathway to God and to human fulfilment.
